Checkout Page Notes

The Checkout Page appears when you click the Check out button on the Cart Page.  When opened, the Checkout Page contains two main sections:

  • On the left: Customer, Billing, and Payment headings

  • On the right: the order information (reflecting your input on the Cart Page): items selected, prices, and discounts.
    • At the top of the order information is an Edit Cart button, which takes you back to the Cart Page (see Cart Page Notes), where you can remove items or change quantities.

Following are the steps for completing purchases:

  1. Review your order information, and modify as needed using the Edit Cart button.

  2. Enter your email address, then click CONTINUE to display the Billing information panel.

  3. Type in your contact details, inserting text into the Order Comments field as needed, then click CONTINUE to display the Payment information panel.

  4. Enter your credit card information and click PLACE ORDER.

  5. The system will display an acknowledgement page that includes
    • the Order Number 
    • the statement "An email will be sent containing information about your purchase"
    • Download instructions items can be downloaded directly from the Checkout confirmation page or from links provided in the email that will be automatically sent to you
    • a printable Order Summary specifying the purchased items and prices (with the blanket discount that will remain in effect until Jan. 15/26), and including a download link
    • a form enabling you to create an account with DataText — this functionality is not currently being used

Note: The applicable country and/or regional taxes are subsequently calculated and paid by DataText Communications Inc. (tax amounts to be included in the purchase price, not added to it).  Accordingly,  the Order Summary will show a "Tax included in Total" of $0.00.
